Nobody else can make sounds out of 8 bit computers better than 8 Bit Weapon. With an array of different consoles as their main arsenal, 8 Bit Weapon is bleepin' loaded.
By: Gian Erguiza

Gian: Who is 8 Bit Weapon?
Seth: 8 Bit Weapon is ComputeHer, MelBot and myself (naughtyboy)
Gian: What is the message behind the music?
Seth: You don't need to get the latest/most expensive gear to make good music. We mostly use vintage 8 bit computers and game consoles to make our music. Systems like Commodore Vic 20, Commodore 64 & 128, Amiga 500, Nintendo NES & Gameboy, Apple IIe & IIc, as well as vintage synths and various electronic and acoustic drum sounds.
Gian: How did you come up with this concept of making sounds from old video game consoles and such?
Seth: We all grew up around computer games and console games and we each discovered making music on various consoles at different times. I was the 1st of the band to do it back in 1999. I started with Commodore 64 emulators and remixing songs. Then a year later I got my SIDstation, which is a midi controllable c64 sound chip! I didn't record/release anything micromusic related till about 2001. ComputeHer got started around 2005 with her gameboy, but she has been playing drums, guitar, and keys since she was a teen. MelBot got into making chiptunes around mid 2006 but plays bass and keys as well. ComputeHer and Melbot had been in a band together during their teens.
Gian: What inspires you to write the music?
Seth: Each of us have been music lovers from an early age. We each digitize elements and scenarios from our lives and process them into songs. Each of us have our own distinct style but we come together as one unit for various song ideas, as well as for live shows and the response has been unanimously good! We love music, and we love to make music, simple as that.
Gian: If you had the chance to share the stage with any artist or band, who would you choose (dead or alive)?
Seth: I'd Choose DEVO, Erasure, Kraftwerk, or Information Society. ComputeHer would choose WEIRD AL because I think his audience would be open to video game music, hahaha! But ComputeHEr would also love to share the stage with some of her favorite bands like Pink Floyd, Devo, Depeche Mode, The Doors, David Bowie and so on... and MElBot says she would like to rock with Depeche Mode as well!
Gian: Any additional comments?
Seth: Couple of things to share. Albums by 8 Bit weapon and ComputeHer's solo album are now available on Itunes! WE are also about to launch our Nerdcore International Tour 2007 on May 4th!! Here are some the dates so far:
