Throw The Fight
Throw the Fight has just finished a successful stint on this years Warped Tour. Their EP, "The Fire Within," has created a well deserved buzz for the band and with a new album in the works, Throw The Fight is set to take over the airwaves. We got Ryan to talk with us about their new album, warped tour, and what we can expect next from TTF.By: Gian Erguiza

Gian: When was the band conceived and how did TTF's journey begin?
Ryan: We started out as a four piece a little over four years ago. About two years ago we decided that we needed a lineup change and wanted to move to a five piece with a different vocalist. That's when Joey and Paul came along. We've been trucking along with our current lineup since then.
Gian: We heard that you guys are in the lab recording a new album. How is the album coming along and what can we expect?
Ryan: We're super excited about the new record and it's coming along great! We're about 1/3 of the way through the recording process. Basically, we're trying to stay true to our sound while expanding on the musicianship as much as possible. It's much heavier than our previous release. We're going to take a lot more time developing the vocals and melodies, as well.
Gian: You guys must have a favorite song on the new album. What is the band's favorite song so far off the new album and why?
Ryan: Right now we're really digging 'Pieces' and 'Hurry to Wait.' The riffs are particularly fun to play.
Gian: Your EP, 'The Fire Within'? was absolutely great. What went into making that album and how is it different this time around?
Ryan: 'The Fire Within' was the first time that we recorded tracks with a producer. It was great having an extra ear to help move things along. We are also working with Matt Kirkwold and World Record Productions again this time around. At the time that we recorded that ep, Joey and Paul had just started with us. So we were still trying to discover our sound. We're much more confident with where we are heading at the moment and I think that is going to come across on the new album.
Gian: What is the message of the music that TTF is trying to convey?
Ryan: I think that our songs mean different things to different people. People can interpret them in a lot of ways. We just try to write from our own life experiences and hope that people can relate to that.
Gian: Let's talk Warped Tour. How ecstatic are you guys to be a part of this summer's Warped Tour?
Ryan: We're really lucky to be a part of the tour this summer. This is one of the goals that we wanted to accomplish ever since we started the group. It's almost too good to be true!
Gian: Are there any bands on the Warped Tour that you guys are happily sharing the stage with? Favorites? Can't wait to see?
Ryan: We're pretty psyched to be sharing a stage with Haste the Day and Parkway Drive. We're also big fans of Killswitch Engage, New Found Glory, and Funeral For a Friend. So it's going to be great to be able to see those bands play every day. They've had a big impact on us.
Gian: How important are your fan's feelings about what you guys do and what direction you guys are heading?
Ryan: Our fans feelings are very important to us. If they don't like our new songs, we're going to be pretty bummed out. There's no secret there. But on the other hand, all we can do is write what we know how to write and make things as good as we can. You can't really think about other people's thoughts too much during the recording process. Otherwise it will drive you nuts! We just hope that people will dig these songs as much as we do.
Gian: Throw the Fight loves________.
Ryan: Our friends and fans for being so supportive throughout the years.
Gian: What can we expect from TTF in the near future?
Ryan: Hopefully lots more touring and many more albums to come! Thanks Ryan!
