Gian: Who is The Yelling and where are you guys originally from and how did this magnificent journey begin?

Nathaniel: The Yelling are Nathaniel Cox - Vocals/ Guitar, Robert Davis - Guitar, Michael Judd - Drums, Chris McKee - Bass. Nathaniel and Robert are from Southern, IL, Michael is from South Africa, Chris is from Boston, MA. The journey began when Nathaniel and Robert moved to Los Angeles from Southern, IL to start a band. They soon met up with Michael and have been playing together for the last 2 years. Chris McKee joined the band this summer.

Gian: What best describes the music that you guys play and what are the bands influences or inspiration for songwriting?

It would probably be best described as Alternative Rock. We like to keep it eclectic and raw, soulful and intense. Musically, without being genre specific, we are influenced by anything that is moving, has character and is interesting. We derive inspiration from the world around us.

Gian: If there was any artist or band that you guys would like to share the stage with one day, who would you guys choose and why?

Talking Heads, Sex Pistols, The Pixies, The Rolling Stones, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, The Black Keys. Who wouldn't want to share the stage with any of these bands!

Gian: What is the message that your band is trying to convey or what are you guys trying to accomplish?

We don't have a specific message, but we want to convey emotion in whatever we create, write, perform etc. We've already accomplished what we want to do, which is make music. Anything more than that is a bonus.

Gian: Any additional comments or shout-outs?

We want to give a shout out to all the radio stations that are playing us right now, iTunes and Mike Stone.
