This duo has picked up steam like you wouldn't believe. With a viral frenzy of Internet downloads (87,000), successful run through the U.S. with record crowds and a new album with a buzzing pulse of intensity, The boys in The Medic Droid are in for the long haul. Indie fans, rocker chicks, club kids and iPod fanatics, behold, the Medic Droid.

Hey guys, can you guys please help me out and give our readers a subtle history lesson on the band and how it all began?

We started out as an indie funk band.... our demo “fer sher” was really different at the time we started.

So what's new guys? Is there anything cooking in the lab that we should know about? Basically, what's new in the World of The Medic Droid?

We’re about to go out on the road for a couple months with Kill Hannah (July-August ’08), so we’re excited about that.

'What's Your Medium' sounds fantastic! It seems like a lot of care went into the recording and it really shows. What was the most challenging thing to capture on record and how much work went into making the album as far as production and sound?

Getting across what you have in your head is always a challenge. Thanks to Back Ted N-Ted (our producer), we were able to accomplish our goal.

With an outstanding 87,000 singles already downloaded from iTunes, and I'm pretty sure it's more than that now, where does that place you guys and has the new album/singles met or exceeded your expectations so far?

Yeah we were surprised .

Bands derive from a certain inspiration or certain feeling when songwriting or putting songs together. What is the songwriting process like for you guys and where do you guys derive inspiration from when songwriting?

I guess everything.

The musical landscape of today is more broad than ever with different genres, bands, and artists vying for the top spot. Where do you guys fit into the equation in this wide ranged musical landscape?

We’re a lot more into picasso’s blue period than landscapes.

Now you guys are about to go out on the road with Kill Hannah, Inner Party System and White Tie Affair, which looks like it's going to run all the way up until the end of August. How excited are you guys to be hitting the road to play the new songs and while out on the road, how do you guys keep yourselves amused and entertained?

A lot of Jenga.

How important is to capture the attitude and sound of the Medic Droid in a live setting?

Very.

Let's exit stage left here. The world seems to be on track to going green to fight global warming. Are you guys going green anytime soon or what are your thoughts on the issue of global warming?

We wanna burn this mother down.

Bastards. Has there been an artist or band lately that have sparked a competitive fire inside of you guys?

No one worth advertising the name of, but if we had to pick anyone it’d be Hannah Montana.
