Auxilia
Striving to write honest and intelligent music. Meet Pennsylvania's Auxilia.
By: Gian Erguiza
Gian: Who is Auxilia and where are you guys originally from?
Auxilia: We are Kyle(bass/vocals), Evan(vocals), Anthony(drums), and Wayne(guitar/vocals). We're a progressive post-hardcore band from Northeastern Pa(each one of us lives in a different city throughout NEPA).
Gian: What best describes the music that you guys play and how did you guys get started?
Auxilia: The music we play is passionately heavy, it makes you think, and it makes you feel.
We all came from different bands at some point or another looking for something different, and more true to who we are. After spending time searching we all ended up finding each other threw one another. I (Evan) knew Wanye from our previous band, we both knew Kyle, and Kyle knew Anthony. Everything just ended up falling into place.
Gian: If there was any artist or band that you guys would like to share the stage with one day, who would you guys choose and why?
Auxilia: I don't think there'd be one specific band that we'd like to play with. Any band that watches your set and that you can have a real conversation with afterwards is just as good as playing with a band that draws thousands of kids. Musically we'll play with any band, just as long as we can get the same kind of respect that we would give them.
Gian: What is the message that your band is trying to convey?
Auxilia: I wouldn't necessarily say we have a message of any kind. Musically i like to believe we make people think, and sometimes we create stories lyrically, whether it's told in one song or through ten. But we try not to force any sort of message to our listeners, to believe this or think that, just sit back and listen.
Gian: Any additional comments or shout-outs?
Auxilia: We would love to thank you guys at Frantik for taking the time, giving us a listen, and doing all you've done, Keith from 1120 studios (myspace. com/eleventwentystudios) for all the shirts/designs/food/ideas/pictures/art/beer/alcohol/support/
merch, and everyone that listens to us and supports good music. Thank you!
