K[nine]

K[nine] from Norway are 5 extremly hard working guys. They put a lot of work in to their live shows. After all, the best way to experience music is LIVE!

Mark: Who is band K[nine]?

Alien Ken: We are K[nine] from Egersund/Stavanger, Norway. A 5 member metal band with 2 vocalists. All the members have several years of band experience behind them.

Mark: What best describes the music that you guys play and how did you guys get started?

Alien Ken: The band started in 2001 as a 2 member band. But after the first demo the band quickly evolved and got a complete line-up. This lead to the release of the album 'Unleash the Power'. The record got great reviews and the band started to get some serious attention. The genere is some sort of Metal/Metalcore. But we are realy focused on having a good melody in all of our songs. Some of our inspiration are Korn, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Killswitch Engaged etc.

Mark: What is the message that your band is trying to convey?

Alien Ken: That you are what you eat???hehe....no seriously... The lyrics on our latest EP called 'Dead Worlds Poetry' are kind of dark. But with a little beam of light shining thru.... They are all pretty much based on what we experience and what goes on around us. The apocalypse that everyone is talking aboat right now with global warming and all that stuff are one of the subjects. The chorus to a track called Failed Creation goes like this : 'all our actions, we turn to destruction. There is no denying, no point in lying. We are a failure, a failed creation. Evolution will self destruct'. Kind of dark one...hehe

Mark: If you guys had the chance to share the stage with anyone, who would you guys choose and why?

Alien Ken: If I could choose I would have to say NIRVANA...Without a doubt.. But yeah, I know we`re aboat 15 years to late...I would choose them because K[nine] and Nirvana would have made an awesome team covering "Seasons in the sun"....hehe. I also have to mention Pantera...That would be beyond a dream. But its kind of to late with them too... This summer we are sharing the stage with Motorhead, Pain and Soilwork at Norway Rock Festival....That will kick some serious ass.
