Secure The First Date

You just got her number and had a great time with her at the club, where you met her the night before. You get her number and now it’s time to play the guessing game. Should you call her the day after? Should you wait three days later? What should you do? For you poor young saps, here are the tips on how to secure your first date.

Hopefully by now, you have already made a good impression. You did get her number which means she is quite interested in going out with you. Take the time to make sure that your real first impression is of the same caliber, smelling good, looking your best and being on your best behavior. All of these things will help you accomplish the first date successfully, leading you in the right direction of a successful relationship. So after you get her number:

Call the next evening! You always hear these silly things like, “Call her three days from now,” type of stuff and that is just wrong. By calling her the next evening, she will be glad that you did, besides, if she really dug you that much, she’ll be happy to hear from you. Doesn’t that seem desperate you ask? No. Waiting three full days to call will help her see right through you which is not good. By calling her the next evening, you spark interest and won’t look predictable.

Don’t call more than twice in one day. Leaving her a barrage of messages will only push her away and it will be a red flag for her that you’re deperate and maybe psycho. Call her once a day and a maximum of three times. If she doesn’t return your calls after three times, move on to different prospects.

Always remember everything about your first encounter. No matter how drunk you were, how noisy it was, or how distracting the club was, always remember the details to avoid not remembering her name and what else she confided in you. After you first meet her, repeat her name so you can fully embed it in your head. Take mental notes on some of the important things like what she does for a living, where she’s from, and things that you guys have in common. Write it down if you have to when you get home. Remembering the details of your first encounter will deeply impress her and help secure the first date.

Don’t be distracted when you call her. Make sure that you’re not watching TV, surfing the net or reading a newspaper. Give her your undivided attention. If you are not a phone person, make sure you limit the call to a certain amount of minutes until your attention span starts to wander. If you could only handle 15 minutes of phone time, then be it. Allot the time limit you have in your head and give her 15 minutes of your undivided attention.

Don’t hog the phone lines. Don’t just blabber about yourself, it will make you look like a self-centered prick. Instead feed off her questions and ask her the same things such as what does she like, dislike, your careers, and family. Avoid touchy subjects such as religion, sex and politics.
