FAITH NO MORE kicked off its reunion tour on June 10 with a headlining performance at the Brixton Academy in London, England.

Original guitarist Jim Martin is not part of the reunion. Performing in his place is Jon Hudson, who played with FAITH NO MORE during the latter stages of its initial run after Martin departed.

The White Stripes are to appear in a new film that will premier this autumn.

The duo are the subject ‘Under Great Northern Lights’, which followed their 2007 tour around Canada.

The film will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 19, with a cinematic release to follow.

Hard rock legends Motorhead has lined up some more tour dates for their upcoming trek across North America. This is in support of the bands latest album, “Motorizer” and features support from Reverend Horton Heat and Nashville Pussy.

The tour dates are as follows:

A girl overheard her mother’s screams during sex and thought she was being assaulted, so she rounded up some friends to attack the woman’s companion.

The 16-year-old girl, two boys and a 19-year-old man were arrested and charged with assault and conspiracy charges.

Police in the US say the teens went into the bedroom and beat the mother’s 25-year-old companion with a baseball bat and punched him.

The man, Roger Swanson of Torrington, says he suffered a black eye and several bruises.

The woman, Melanie Arnold, denies she screamed. She tells The Associated Press her daughter heard a slap and thought it was an assault.

DOWN will tour select U.S. markets with the MELVINS in August/September. The group will then return to the studio from October through December to record what will eventually become the fourth DOWN album, tentatively due in early 2010.

The past week has been filled with more Michael Jackson speculation than we even thought possible…and there’s no end in sight.

Jackson’s former personal photographer, Ian Barkley, spoke exclusively to E! News about the King of Pop’s parenting, his apparent problems and various things he witnessed during his years spent traveling the world with the artist.

Barkley was hired in 2002 to document Jackson in all of his endeavors. “Michael liked having me around,” says the photographer.

Though they may be not be digital natives having proudly resisted the call of the itunes download chart - they are certainly on their game about engaging their fans in an online environment.

The campaign developed by Bluecube Interactive, is a comprehensive digital initiative that fits with the fun-loving play hard ethos of the group. Developed to promote their live tour and generate ongoing buzz around Black Ice, their first album released in eight years the campaign targets radio DJ’s and fans recruited via forums, blogs and music sites using a mix of online PR, PPC activity and display media and radio.

Lady Gaga is set to wow fans with a provocative new photospread for style magazine V. The hitmaker, sporting a curly, Pamela Anderson-style hairdo, poses among sand dunes wearing bondage gear and a see-through lace mini-dress in the sexy shots.

In one of the candid photos, Gaga - real name Stefani Germanotta - wears a breast-bearing bra under an off-the-shoulder shirt and in another saucy shot she arches her back in a figure-hugging black leather corset.

It’s not the first time the singer has bared almost all for a magazine shoot - she recently appeared on the front of Rolling Stone wearing nothing but heavy make-up and a see-through bubble corset.

ELK GROVE, Calif. – A Northern California elementary school teacher sent her students home for the summer with a video of class memories, only the DVD included six seconds of her having sex on a couch.

Officials at the Elk Grove Unified School District asked families of the teacher’s 24 students to get rid of the DVD after the unintended clip was found spliced in a scene where children were sharing stories in class.

“Just destroy them,” said spokeswoman Torrey Johnson.

BEHEMOTH’s ninth full-length studio album, “Evangelion”, is scheduled for release on August 7 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records and August 11 in North America through Metal Blade. The CD was mixed at Miloco Studios in London, England by Colin Richardson, who has previously worked with MACHINE HEAD, SLIPKNOT, NAPALM DEATH and BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, among many others.

GENEVA (Reuters) – Prince will return to the Montreux stage, closing out the famed jazz festival on July 18, with high-priced tickets expected to be snapped up quickly, organizers said on Friday.

The Minneapolis-born star last played at the Swiss event two years ago and then showed up at 3 a.m. to jam with his band at a late-night jazz cafe. That year, tickets sold out in a record 10 minutes for his performance at Stravinski Auditorium.

“The Montreux Jazz Festival will be even funkier this year because a musician of genius will perform not once but twice,” organizers said in a statement, finally confirming long-standing rumors on Friday, the opening day of the two-week festival.

Evergreen Terrace has issued the following statement about their drummer having to sit out their upcoming tour dates:

“After yesterday’s practice Kyle (drummer) was in a horrific bike accident. He was rushed to the emergency room and released late last night full of stitches and a broken clavicle (collar bone). Unfortunately he will have to have surgery and physical therapy for the next 4-8 weeks. So for obvious reasons he will not be with us on our upcoming headlining shows or the Summer Slob tour with The Acacia Strain. Please wish Kyle a quick recovery. He’s pretty bummed out. Caleb James, our long time roadie and drummer for Casey Jones, will be taking over drum duties for now.”

WELLINGTON, New Zealand – New Zealand’s national airline has adopted a cheeky way to encourage passengers to watch its in-flight safety video: The cabin crew’s uniforms are nothing but body paint.
The “Bare Essentials of Safety,” screening in the cabins of planes flying Air New Zealand’s main domestic routes, has gone viral online. It had 1.2 million YouTube views by Friday, four days after it was launched.

In the video, three cabin staff and a pilot, all in full body paint applied to look like their uniforms, talk viewers through the aircraft’s safety procedures.

President Obama has commented on the death of Michael Jackson, having avoided releasing a formal statement in the days after his passing.

Jackson died a week ago on June 25 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles home.

In an interview today, the President said that the King Of Pop will “go down in history as one of our greatest entertainers. I grew up on his music.”

Speaking to the Associated Press, Obama said that the star had led “a tragic and in many ways sad personal life” and says he has all of his music on his iPod.

W.A.S.P. last year completed the European and North American legs of “The Crimson Idol Tour”, which kicked off on October 26, 2007 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The band performed the 1992 album in its entirety while never-before-seen video footage was being shown throughout the show. After a short break the group returned for another a 30-minute set of W.A.S.P. classics.

W.A.S.P.’s latest album, “Dominator”, was released in digipack and LP format on October 1, 2007 via Demolition Records. The digipack features a special 3D cover.

Earlier this week, the promoter of Michael Jackson’s 50-date “This is It” residency at the O2 Arena in London said there was ample footage of a Jackson rehearsal for the planned series of shows, and that he hopes to release them.

On Thursday (July 2), one week after Jackson, 50, died following cardiac arrest at a rented Los Angeles-area mansion on the eve of the July 13 start of the O2 run, MTV News obtained a clip of a rehearsal filmed just two days before Jackson’s sudden passing. And though it is just a 90-second glimpse of the singer performing the controversial track “They Don’t Care About Us,” the brief bit of film does appear to show Jackson in solid shape, stomping around the stage, apparently singing in full voice and energetically dancing with an all-male troupe of backup performers.

GENE SIMMONS says he’s heard enough celebrity tributes to MICHAEL JACKSON, and wants to hear from the kids who accused the late pop singer of molestation.

Simmons, the bassist/vocalist for classic rock stalwarts KISS, says he’s less interested in Jackson’s talent than he is in accusations that the singer molested young boys.

“I want the kids who’ve accused him, to be blunt, of molestation, to have their say,” Simmons told The Canadian Press in a telephone interview from Los Angeles on Thursday.

Dream Theater’s latest album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings has debuted on the Candian Soundscan charts at #5! As reported earlier today, the album debuted at #6 on the US’ Billboard’s Top 200 album chart, with first week sales totaling 40,285. Both US numbers mark the highest ever first week figures for the band, who are enjoying the greatest success of their 25 year career. 12% of the week’s sales were digital, ranking Black Clouds & Silver Linings at #21 on the Digital Albums chart.

Friar Cesare Bonizzi, the 62-year-old Italian self-described “preacher-singer” who has released a couple of albums with his heavy metal band FRATELLO METALLO (Metal Brother), joined DOWN on stage during the New Orleans group’s June 28, 2009 performance at the Gods Of Metal festival in Monza, Italy. According to the Italian news blog Musica Metal, “While announcing the last song of their show, [DOWN] frontman Phil Anselmo spotted at the barriers Frate Cesare, an actual monk with a long white beard, who plays in a metal band in Italy shouting lyrics about alcohol, sex, tobacco and ‘metal life’ in general. Anselmo was amazed by the sight and requested him to get onstage, hugged him, and kept saying it was unreal — then made a wanking off sign behind [Bonizzi's] back, causing a huge laughter in the audience.”
